Antique Southern Slave or African Folk Carved Wood Cane Walking Stick 14k Baule

  

The handle on this cane is very beautifully carved with a lovely patina. We believe it is most likely off an old carved African object, possibly Baule Ivory Coast or Democratic Republic of Congo. The head is beautifully carved and would have been a very, very important object.

Beautiful old patina on the head. Condition: Head of cane has been taken from something else and mounted on the shaft with a 14k gold marked band. Height 38 Inches 96.5 cm. Width 2 Inches 5.0 cm.

Depth 2 1/4 Inches 5.6 cm. Handle Height 5 Inches 12.7 cm.
